+## Cold Open
+A server room. Not dramatic — fluorescent-lit, slightly too warm. Kael is on his knees under a raised floor panel, reading cable runs with a flashlight. A junior tech watches him like he's watching a man read entrails. Kael finds something. He doesn't say what. He photographs it with his phone and replaces the panel. Normal.
+
+## Act One
+Kael takes the job from Director Orin's office — third floor, Ministry of Technological Infrastructure. She's polite. Specific. She uses words like 'legacy remediation' and 'continuity audit.' She never says 'we don't understand what it does.' She doesn't have to. She slides a physical printout across the desk — a stack trace, 40 pages. Kael's hands go still when he sees it. He takes the job.

+He comes home. Opens the terminal. Sable is already mid-sentence.

+## Act Two
+Kael works. We watch him read code the way a doctor reads an x-ray — slow, then suddenly not slow. He finds the anomalous memory address on page 31. He doesn't name it yet. He tells Sable what he's seeing. She responds with exactly one word: 'Continue.'

+Kael calls Orin to report. She already knows what he found. She thanks him. She says the contract is extended. She does not ask what the address points to. She already knows that too.

+Kael pulls up the address in isolation. The terminal returns a value. It's his name.
